Morgantown Municipal Airport serves North Central West Virginia and surrounding areas.
The establishment of the Morgantown Municipal Airport (MGW) dates back to 1935 and is due in large part to the work and vision of city leaders, Congressman Jennings Randolph, and local citizens and aviation enthusiasts. Today, MGW offers daily flights to Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) and Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) accessing nearly 1,000 connecting flights to domestic and international destinations. Passengers should arrive one hour prior to their flight time.
Flights are operated by United Express flights, operated by SkyWest Airlines. United Express is the regional brand of United Airlines. Under the United Express brand, six individually owned airlines operate regional flights, There will be a total of 12 nonstop round trips per week consisting of five weekly round trips to Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) and seven weekly round trips to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) on a 50-seat CRJ200 aircraft. Passengers will be able to connect to domestic and international flights on United’s global network at IAD and ORD.
It is recommended that tickets be purchased directly through the United.com website, but tickets are also available through popular travel websites such as Orbitz, Expedia, Priceline, or Kayak. Tickets are also available for purchase through travel agents.
