Morgantown Municipal Airport serves North Central West Virginia and surrounding areas.
The establishment of the Morgantown Municipal Airport (MGW) dates back to 1935 and is due in large part to the work and vision of city leaders, Congressman Jennings Randolph, and local citizens and aviation enthusiasts. You can read former Morgantown City Manager Elmer Prince's account about the establishment of the airport here.
Today, MGW offers daily flights to Washington Dulles Airport (IAD) and Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) in Pennsylvania accessing nearly 1,000 connecting flights to domestic and international destinations. Passengers should arrive one hour prior to their flight time.
